  3. To all who read this:

Blogger doesn't work well for me either
(And it gets worse by the day).
I can no longer have forwarded any comments from my posts to my email, and thus cannot keep easy track of the status of my comments and requests for re-uploads for dead links.
Please leave all such requests HERE.
    Thank you.

  5. Thanks for "Sonde- en Concert", It's everything I like! You have any more by them/similar?

On their comments you recommended "Milk Teeth" but the link don't work.

Same with "Sarah Peebles - Insect Groove"

Can you pleas re up it?
    Thanks for the great music!

  6. @juicy- I have re-upped Milk Teeth. Enjoy! (The similarity it bears to Sonde is the level of amplification of the strings, if not much else...)
Unfortunately I have nothing else by "Sonde". I'm not sure there IS anything else to get.

  17. Hi Grey calx-
Any idea why the "some worthwhile blogs and sites" sidebar is not updating anymore? It stalled last week, or maybe before.

    Go figure.

    1. Hi DrE

I did notice about a week ago that the sidebar has not been updating as often. I thought it probably was another glitch occurring at the world's #1 hi-tech firm. It appears you figured out for both of us how to solve that problem. :-)

  32. I also just noticed that the re-up requests should go here; sorry about that. I have been putting them wherever I happen to be at the time. I have been entirely through 2013, 2012, and 2011, but in starting on 2010 I notice that posts with single links are all MF and all dead. I wish there was some way I could take some of the timeload off your plate(s) and help re-post stuff for you. But life gets in the way, I understand. And I'm about to get a life here soon so I shouldn't speak out of turn. But I love this blog, so I will simply root from the sidelines for now. Thank you and best of luck keeping all those plates spinning in the air!

    1. Hi Dirk Bill,

I did manage to fill a few requests. There should be some more requests filled sometime soon. I think Mediafire's change of policy messed up a lot of posts here. I put a lot of eggs in the Mediafire basket because it was the best one of the bunch at the time. That's no longer the case.
Thanks for the kind words and I'll try to do my best to fill as many requests as possible.

Are you still able to contribute the Korean recordings? I'm looking forward to hearing those?
About life, I started a new career a couple of years ago (coincidentally close to the same time Megaupload was shut down causing others to shut down). With a full time work schedule, there's not much time for anything else. I'm also trying to find another job that pays better and most important, be hired for that job. I remember reading someone claiming that music blogging was mostly done by retired, unemployed or part-time employed people. That sounds about right. When I was more active, either I was unemployed or had a part-time job. I don't think music blogging is really for people with careers.

I hope it goes well for you when you get a life. Best of luck to you too. I'll be happy to offer any advice or help to keep those plates spinning in the air. :)

Maybe upload them all in a .rar compilation pack so you only have one file to re-up whenever a host goes down? Or even publish a torrent?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. All of those you listed are re-upped. As far as I know, all of the music box posts should now have active links.
I thought of those other methods you mention. I really don't want to deal with torrents right now and uploading them individually works better for me. I know I'm taking a chance on one particular host for old posts only because I can't find anyone else as reliable and user-friendly.

Most of more recent posts in the nature sounds category ("Steel Rails Under Thundering Skys", "Timberwolf in the Pines", "A Walk in the Forest", et. al) semm to be down. This seems to be related to the use of that miror creeator site (which malfunctionig I'm sure you have already noticed). Anyways, keep up the good work guys, from a fan of both the Closet and the Basement (RIP) since forever.
