From the liner notes:

Elizabeth Falconer, koto master from the Sawai Koto School, began her koto studies in 1979. After twelve years of studies under koto masters Sawai Kazue, Sawai Tadao, and Nagame Utayumi, she returned to the States to teach and perform. She plays contemporary, improvisational, and classical music with a variety of artists, directs the Taka Koto Ensemble in Seattle, and also combines storytelling with music in her original program of Koto Tales.
