Thunderstorm Terror

Moods Gateway Recordings - Thunderstorm Terror

Last Sunday, I posted a recording of the soft sounds of the "Gentle Rain". This time, I'm posting the violent sounds of the thunderstorm along with the sounds of torrential rain.

The violence of thunder is tempered by the rhythm of the rain. The storm's turbulence drives one inside seeking shelter, warmth and companionship...
Close your eyes and be in touch with your surroundings.

NOTE: Both sides of the cassette are the same.

  1. This is the coolest site I've come across in a long time. Thanks so much for all of your dedication. Have you, however, considered ripping some of your cassettes/LPs into lossless formats? Thanks again for everything.

  2. anonymous person, I appreciate your comment. I've thought about lossless formats and at some point I may re-rip my stuff in a lossless format. Right now, it's a matter of having enough space on the hard drive which as I'm sure you know, lossless formats take up quite a lot of space. To have more room for more stuff, I've accepted the high bit rates of mp3s for now.

  4. Oh, I thought that was the case... Anyways, I know that I'm in no position to ask for anything, but it's just that I've been looking for a lossless version of Satie's Vexations by Reinbert de Leeuw for the longest time now, and have been unable to find it anywhere else. Please let me know if you plan on re-ripping it. Thanks so much for responding to me, dear grey calx!

  5. John,

I don't have an LP copy of Vexations. H.C. Earwicker does, which by the way he shared a year ago on this blog. I don't know how much he reads the comments on my posts, so he may or may not respond.
I also could ask him sometime, but I'm not sure if he has time to re-rip it as he has been very busy lately.
