The recording is a collection of electronic pieces composed and recorded from 1973 to 1988. "Story" utilized microphone input and ring modulation. Moog, Arp, and Buchla synthesizers were used to create "Reminiscences". "Flutations For Amplified Flute and Half-track Stero Tape" is described as this: "after a brief tape introduction which melts into a short flute cadenza, the flutist plays five character variations against a tape variation in augmentation, similar in concept to an extended chorale. The Work presents the struggle of the flutist to provide energy and enthusiasm in the context of a lethargy of slowly changing tape sounds." "'Children's Voices' is a musical collage of babies and toddlers composed into an eight-voice polyphonic texture."
