The movie was the type of crud that they seemed to make a lot of in the 1970s. THe music was good but the films were filled with "everybody knows we are right so why prove it" type stuff and interviews with poor lonely men who could not get friends any other way.
A whole social history of the U.S. in one film type. Fun music though.
I don't know what your criteria is for a blog to be either dead or alive. There have been 5 new posts this week (from August 17 to today). Maybe that is not enough posts for you to consider this blog to be alive.
This blog is certainly the mining town that has become a thriving community with people wanting to either stay and tour the place or to at least plan their route through here and drop by for a little while. Sure development/progress is slow, but I believe in what is called controlled growth. There's always an effort to implement activities to maintain citizen interest and to keep people wanting to come back. Also, there is constant maintenance to keep the place neat and tidy.
Anyway, I've been going through the archives checking for dead links, and yes Chariots of the Gods is on the schedule to be reposted next week.
I forgot to mention that this has been reposted. If you're looking for it, it's at the new post for this item. Yes, this was reposted way after August 22. I didn't mean to delay the reposting for that long.
Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have never listened to a soundtrack before but I'll give it a spin.
Does it tell a story? should I watch the movie to get the full effect?

Also pity about this being another dead blog.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of old mining towns in the west. Once thriving, now dead shells.
