Variations IV

John Cage - Variations IV

About a couple of years ago, Volume II of Variations IV was posted. I was going to post the original sometime after posting Volume II, but it didn't show up in my hands. Then I forgot about it until I recently scrolled through the archives that I remembered about Variations IV. I did get it a while after the posting of Volume II, btw. Anyway, here it is, a present to you for this month of May as it is a special month as this blog turns 3 years old near the end of May.

Recorded live at the Fiegen/Palmer Gallery in Los Angeles.

John Cage - composition (indeterminate)
David Tudor - sound system
Cage and Tudor - performance

  5. grasprelease,

Thank you. It's a pleasure to see you around here again. Are you still active at Different Waters? I don't think I've seen you there in a while.

I hope to keep going. However, I noticed some blogs have shut down recently mainly because of what is supposedly happening at Rapidshare. I'm keeping an eye on these developments. I am optimistic (for the time being) that this blog will not be affected.
